Dayspring University Purpose Statement
Dayspring University exists to help develop God’s people in character,
theology, leadership and ministry skills. It is our purpose to equip men and
women to fulfill God’s purpose for them personally and through them for the
Church and the world. ”. . . to prepare God’s people for works of service . . .”
(Ephesians 4:12 NIV). “. . . the Dayspring from on high has visited us; to
give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our
feet into the way of peace” (Luke 1:78-79 NKJV).
This Preparation is Accomplished Through:
* Acquiring proficiency in Biblical and theological knowledge.
* Pursuing general studies based in Biblical principles and values.
* Developing a dynamic life purpose with Christian character.
* Achieving powerful, effective leadership and ministry skills.
Dayspring University equips ministry minded men and women to lead,
evangelize, teach, preach and disciple the body of Christ for the strengthening of the
Church and the extension of His Kingdom.
Spiritual Objectives:
The primary objective of Dayspring University is of a spiritual nature. Our
total program is designed to build strong Christian servant leaders who are
firmly rooted in Christ and His Word.
* Christian leaders are only effective as they learn to trust in and rely
on the grace, mercy, power, and love of God in all they pursue.
* The fruit of Christian labor will only have eternal consequence when
birthed and blessed by the Holy Spirit.
* Human efforts for the extension of God’s Kingdom are not gained by human
strength alone.
Educational Objectives:
Dayspring’s purpose is to provide a broad base of excellent comprehensive,
stimulating and relevant educational courses for the effective preparation of a
new generation of Christian leaders.
* We purpose to provide an academic program which stimulates and fulfills
the needs of each student’s vocational ministry choices.
* The whole personality, body, soul and spirit must be developed for
maximum spiritual effectiveness.
* A successful student will be academically prepared, socially aware and
involved, and of good and growing Christian character.
* We endeavor to equip leaders in the spiritual and academic discipline
that will assure a lifetime of effective service and joyful personal fulfillment.
Fulfilling Objectives:
These objectives will help to academically prepare each student for ministry
service, and form Godly Christian character in the lives of all who complete
their studies at Dayspring University.
Through the student’s diligence, God’s grace, and the ongoing work of the
Holy Spirit. Dayspring seeks to graduate men and women who are:
* Spiritually rooted in the Word and anointed by the Holy Spirit.
* Skillful in practical ministry and people skills.
* Emotionally mature, balanced and possessed by a sense of propriety.
* Socially gracious, compelling and sensitive.
* Intellectually thorough, perceptive and aware.
* Exhibit Godly character and wisdom.
A person’s growth process during his or her academic preparation for ministry
is of paramount consequence if he or she desires to serve as a leader of God’
people. May God grant His blessing, courage and character as you grow in the
likeness and image of His own dear son.
