Dayspring University offers:
*Certification in 20 Church related programs *Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s, Docotor’s andDoctor of Philosophy.
Degrees can be attained in any of the following programs:

GENERAL DEGREE REQUIREMENTS
CERTIFICATIONS
Certification in 20 Church related fields in Church Planting, Ministry to Nursery, Preschool, Children, Youth, Adults, Seniors, and many other fields.
* A minimum of 15 units must be completed with a grade point average of 2.0 or better * You select 5 texts from a list provided and on each write a summary paper. * You pass a proctored exam on the papers you have written.
ASSOCIATE OF ARTS DEGREE
* A minimum of 60 units completed with a grade point average of 2.0 or better. The final twenty-one (21) units shall be completed through Dayspring University. * Thirty-three (33) units of general studies. * Twenty-one (21) units within the field of major. * Six (6) elective units. * Pass a proctored exam over your papers.
A list of recommended texts will be provided and your program will be set up between you and the administrator.
BACHELOR OF ARTS DEGREE
* A minimum of 120 units completed with a grade point average of 3.0 or better. The final twenty-one (21) units shall be completed through Dayspring University. * Thirty-three (33) units of general studies. * Thirty (30) units in field of major study. * Fifteen (15) units in the minor field. * Forty-two (42) elective units * Two papers of 3-5 pages in each text assigned. * A Major Paper of 10-15 pages for 6 units * A Practicum * Pass a proctored exam over your papers.
MASTER OF ARTS DEGREE * Forty-two (42) units of post-graduate work. * Eighteen (18) units in the major field of study from selected texts. * Select 6 courses and read 6 texts from a list which will be provided. On each one write two papers of 6-8 pages, minimum. The first is to be a survey of the text. The second is to be on any subject in the text you choose. * Pass a proctored exam on the papers you have written.
Your professor will direct you in:
* Six (6) units of practicum. * Six (6) units of internship. * Six (6) units of directed research. * Six (6) units of thesis.
DOCTORAL DEGREES
* D. Min. (Doctor of Ministry) * D.S.M. (Doctor of Sacred Music) * D.Ed. (Doctor of Education) * Th.D. (Doctor of Theology) * Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosopoly)
These high level degrees are all faculty directed.
DOCTORATE
The Doctorate is a high level degree requiring 20 hours of advanced work beyond Masters Degree.
GOALS
* Motivated to inspire and equip others * Ability to work with and supervise others * Perform skillfully in Christian ministry * Creatively utilize resources and insights * High level of competence in ministry growing out of Biblical-theological foundations * Understand and accept oneself, develop life-long plans of study * Be a growing person
NATURE OF DOCTORATE PROGRAM
* Acceptable level of didactic relationship to mentor * Supervised ministry * Field project * Four courses of study as assigned
REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION TO DOCTORATE PROGRAM
* M. Div. or equivalent from an accredited institution * Acceptable essay * Entrance inventory * Two years of substantial ministry experience * Meet current language requirement * Complete orientation program
REQUIREMENTS FOR GRADUATION
* Prospectus and field project * Completion within 2 years; exceptions may be granted * Acceptable level of professional competence * Graduation by action of faculty on recommendation from D. Min. Committee

DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY DEGREE (Ph.D.)
The Doctor of Philosophy is a high level degree requiring 42 hours of advanced work.
ENTRANCE REQUIREMENT:
* Masters Degree from an accredited institution * This degree is for students of the highest academic level and of exceptional ability and promise who are capable of completing a dissertation. * Entrance inventory can be expected
Please submit your transcript of previous work to the office of the President. Your individual program will be designed with your previous experience and specific requirements in mind.
GOALS:
* Creative scholarship * Prepare for balanced leadership: (personhood, teaching, preaching, missions and other church related ministries) * Outstanding academic record * Qualifying exams * Interview by Ph.D. committee * Acceptance of mentor's supervision * Proficiency in language study
BIBLICAL STUDIES:
* Major writings and periodicals will be examined to review competency * Old Testament archeology * Old Testament literature * Old Testament theology * New Testament literature- Gospels * New Testament literature- Pauline Epistles and Acts * New Testament theology * Language studies
RESEARCH
* Comprehensive exams * Writing the dissertation
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE DEGREE
Forty-two (42) units of advanced study (above Masters).
* Eighteen (18) units in the major field of study. * Select and read 6 texts from a list that will be provided. On each write 2 papers, minimum of 6-8 pages each. The first is to be a summary of the text, the second is to be a summary on any subject you choose in the text. * Pass a proctored exam on the papers you have written
Your professor will direct you in:
* Six (6) units of practicum * Six (6) units of internship * Six (6) units of directed research * Six (6) units of dissertation * Comprehensive exam at completion of the course * Dissertation (approved project, and completed document) * Oral exam over material and report on dissertation * Two years limit is acceptable; more may be granted on written request * Prospectus project and dissertation is major part of Ph.D. program * Dissertation and prospectus must be approved by professor and Ph.D. committee
PROFESSIONAL GROWTH SEMINARS - 1 Unit
Students may attend professional conferences/seminars which are related to the field of study. The conferences/seminars must be verified on a special form given by Dayspring University & Seminary. Dayspring University will determine whether the conference is acceptable for college credit. No credits will be given for conferences attended prior to being a Dayspring University Student. The decision of the school will be final.
Students will be given a maximum of 6 units of credit towards Bachelor's of Arts Degree and 2 units of credit for Associate of Arts Degree.
